Kansas Man Arrested in Colorado for Criminal Negligence with a Gun

A 5-year-old boy is dead after a shooting inside an apartment Friday morning in Lakewood, Colo., and police say a 3-year-old boy pulled the trigger.

Police said they believe the shooting was accidental, but one of the adults in the apartment at the time, Adam Laham, 23, was arrested on charges of child abuse resulting in death and criminal negligence.
I know Dog Gone already covered this, but what's your opinion? Is there anything wrong with this shared responsibility?

  1. Stupid asshole. If he gets a sympathetic 12 pack he might get the ol', "We could not punish the defendant any worse than his own consicience" jury nullification verdict. The real tragedy is that even if HE goes free, his gun will prolly be punished by being melted down or re-sold by the state to someone who may or may not give it the sort of loving care all such inanimate objects that sometimes, inexplicably, are involved in people gettin' dead.
